We remember 9/11!

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Yes it’s been six years since tragic struck the United States and the World Trade Center came crashing down but we still remember the lives lost, families broken, and the nation that came together. Take a moment of silence today and remember where you were during this fateful time and all the things you are thankful for and how we are all proud to be Americans.

9/11, Never Forget.

Filming the Introduction

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007

We went out to the canyons of Los Angeles to film an introduction and disclaimer for Slide America. Lance Feliciano and Lisa Kim Fleming showed up like 16 hours late or something outrageous like that. It was all good though, we dipped out somewhere out in the Malibu area if I remember right that Jenny Chu knew so we could shoot the opening at sunset.

These are some pictures before filming started when team morale was still high……

Thanks to iheartjennychu.com for the photos!

Once we got the Dori 2 Garage 240sx setup and calmed everything down things went well. We almost ended up filming into the night due to some “line mishaps,” that kept taking place but we won’t say any names….It was a great time, Richard Tran (former Formula D employee) came out along with Good Times Media who did some filming and tagged along with some other shots.

This is Jenny Chu and myself in an argument about the filming. I won.

Here is a picture of the crew after the filming. We ended up going to Korean BBQ and watched Lisa Fleming out eat us all, I cannot make this stuff up.

Thanks to Good Times for this photo.

Portland, OR: Tranqulity and Telephone Polls

Friday, September 1st, 2006

Portland was a blast. We got a home cooked dinner thanks to Mrs. Leveton. Once we got out to the streets in downtown the guys killed it! Sadly we had to leave the first spot early due to some car troubles. The second spot we went to was killer and the guys tore it up with some tandem action. Big thanks to the guys from UnNatural Inc. who totaled a 240sx and then kept on Drifting into the night. The night almost ended with us fighting bum’s outside the 711.

Norcal: Drifting in the Mountains

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

Angry Al took us around Norcal and we wound up in the mountains somewhere. The guys just killed it at both spots we hit up showing that Northern California is on the map. It’s not quite as strong as Los Angeles but Norcal can hold it’s own definitely. Thanks again to everyone who came out and tore it up. You won’t believe how our night ended, I will give you a big hint………CRUNCH!

SoCal with the LAPD

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Los Angeles was a blast. Had a great time with Antonio eating some Thai food (Next time I will get the EGG!) We got a preview of the first run of the Drifting Book by Antonio Alvendia. Looks killer! Kenta from Toyko Drive also gave us an awesome interview about the Japanese side of Drifting. We had a great time street drifting and the only real picture I need to post is this……..Thanks for the living room in Hollywood as well Jacob Leveton and Kay from myspace.com. Street drifting in City of Industry didn’t last so long.

Speed Alliance in San Diego, CA

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

We were basically so close to Mexico you could smell it. As we rolled into San Diego at who knows what time and we almost woke up and made it to Speed Alliance on time. White Warren G is the man by the way who let us crash at his place on our second night in town. Speed Alliance was a great host and we had a fun time kicking it with Team Hinga and others. Thanks everyone for rolling out.

Vivid Racing and J-Rod!

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

We rolled into Vivid Racing to hear what Ryan Hampton had to say about the drifting scene. We also paid a visit to Jarod DeAnda’s “The Voice of Formula D,” who brought us a ton of insight into the sport. He also has to win the sickest house award of anyone on the Slide America tour. Thanks to Vivid Racing for letting us swing by and Drift Alliance’s Ryan Hampton for spending some time with us.

This is one the fun roads you can travel down on the way to Las Vegas from Arizona. We couldn’t reach it to put a Slide America sticker on it however.

This is the casino right across from the Hoover Damn into Nevada. Andy ended up peeing outside this casino and we had to make a quick bolt from security because he decided to go in the parking lot instead of inside the casino. Their advertising campaign is simply amazing….

New Mexico Drift: I was left for dead with snakes….

Friday, August 18th, 2006

Gary Lang and Ben Reyes were awesome hosts as we rolled into the Big Albuquerque. They took us to Rent2Race.com and then out to the Sandia Motor Speedway where the guys tore it up in the new rides. The new two tone paint they slapped together looks awesome and I suck because it appears that I produced no pictures. So I am going to provide you with some entertainment from our travels between Houston, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This is shortly after Andy Sapp got out of the Emergency Room in Texas…..I got bored and was jumping our minivan off curbs and managed to lose the bumper.

Here are two snaps from Roswell, New Mexico! 1947, Slide America believes!

Don’t Mess With Texas…. Or these insane Drifters in Houston

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

Oh man! Houston was insane. Yes I know it happened quite a while ago. Sorry Houston-240sx guys for not posting this stuff up earlier! We had a blast but sadly some cars came to a crashing hault. We got yelled at by mall security and tore up a sweet ass road in town. Casey “Tirekiller” got cuffed and slammed face first into a cop car! Thanks to everyone that came out, we saw some sick cars and some crazy talent for middle America. Keep it up guys. Sorry Momma Sapp for taking so long :(.

Graceland does it big with the Traction Optional crew

Friday, August 4th, 2006

Oh yea! Memphis was some of the wildest drifting we have seen. Forrest Luster gave me a ride in his S13 Nissan 240sx and it was wild!!!!! We had a few wrecks and some more special guests. Ranzo, well known from the Grip Videos they filmed in Japan came out and told us some awesome stories. The Traction Optional guys repped hard and we had quite a time. They had a sweet drift spot and really pushed the cars to destruction.
